Dear Governors and Party Chairmen, You hold the keys to 2027. As party primaries unfold across the political landscape, the decisions you make now will define not only electoral outcomes but the direction of Nigeria’s democratic maturity.

While the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced its early primaries under the guidance of its governors, other parties including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party, Social Democratic Party (SDP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) , All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Action Democratic Party (ADP), Young Progressives Party (YPP), Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) African Action Congress (AAC), Action Alliance (AA), National Rescue Movement (NRM), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Accord (A), Action Peoples Party (APP), Boot Party (BP), Youth Party (YP), Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) must, as a matter of urgency and priority, address the issue of women’s representation within their party primary processes.

This letter speaks regardless of party affiliation. The appeal is simple, urgent and necessary: open the political space for women to contest and to win.
