However, in my opinion, there hasn't been anything truly special, mind-blowing, or addictively delicious on the menu in decades... that is, until now.‌I was fortunate enough to be one of the first people to try McDonald's latest addition, the Candyfloss Frappé, and it's so good that it deserves a permanent spot on the menu.‌Speaking on their latest addition, a spokesperson shared: "McDonald’s is dialling up the summer vibes with a fresh wave of McCafé flavours landing from July 14."[This is] led by the NEW Strawberry Candyfloss Frappé, a sweet, creamy, nostalgia‑packed treat made for sunny days and social feeds. Despite its candyfloss-inspired name, it's not overly sweet or sickly; instead, it offers a refreshing, fruity taste that's well-balanced and easy to drink.The creamy texture makes it feel indulgent without being too heavy. If you love a strawberry milkshake, this frappe is similar, but more elevated and incredibly moreish. The best aspect of this drink is that it does not taste overly artificial, which is common with strawberry-flavoured treats.My boyfriend, who was my plus-one for the event, was hesitant at first because the drink was advertised as a "girly-pop drink." However, he ended up enjoying the drink more than I did.‌He shared: "The drink was smooth, delicious and had the right amount of sweetness. It was refreshing and perfect for this heatwave." Personally, I think this should be a permanent addition as I still dream of tasting the creamy strawberry goodness once again.Another frappe I enjoyed at the event was the Vanilla Matcha, which is available now and will be offered until stock runs out.
