Law enforcement agencies have launched investigative actions into an incident involving servicemen from military unit A5001. The unit commander has reportedly left his place of service without authorization, and efforts are underway to determine his whereabouts.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine’s Operational Command North reported the matter on Facebook.
The Command said that individuals involved in the investigation had been suspended from performing their official duties and are cooperating with investigators.
Details that can be disclosed without harming the investigation will be released by law enforcement authorities.
"The Operational Command North is providing comprehensive support to law enforcement agencies and facilitating maximum transparency of the investigation. All unlawful actions will receive an appropriate legal assessment. Those responsible will be held accountable in accordance with current legislation," the statement said.
