Police in the Zaporizhzhia region have launched an investigation into the death of a commander of a military unit.
According to Ukrinform, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Police reported this on Facebook.
"The commander of one of the military units was found dead with a gunshot wound," the police said.
The incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 115 of Ukraine's Criminal Code (premeditated murder).
Investigators are carrying out procedural and investigative actions under the supervision of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Eastern Region.
