Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, warning vessels not to attempt to cross it via any route not approved by Iranian authorities.
The announcement comes just hours after Oman reportedly proposed two separate routes through the strait during talks with Iran in Muscat, something Tehran had been against, as both sides agreed to continue technical and political talks over its navigation.
