The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming Osun governorship election, Bola Oyebamiji, has commended President Bola Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, over the rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State.
Oyebamiji, in a statement signed by the Head of the Media and Publicity Committee of the Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, Oluremi Omowaiye, and obtained in Osogbo on Saturday, said the “safe return of the abductees after a gruelling 56-day ordeal in captivity marked a monumental triumph for the nation’s security architecture.”
He specifically commended Tinubu’s “refusal to concede to criminal demands, combined with his decision to approve 1,000 forest guards to reinforce regional safety, underscores a decisive commitment to securing citizens and residents of Nigeria.”
The statement further read, “We extend our highest commendations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his unwavering political will and strategic directive in deploying a specialised security unit to resolve the crisis.
