A 69-YEAR-OLD Cascade woman was injured during a robbery at the Massy Stores Trincity car park on Thursday afternoon.Police said the incident occurred around 1.35 p.m. at the south-eastern end of the shopping centre’s car park. The woman told officers she had just exited her vehicle when a man approached and grabbed her handbag from her shoulder.She held on to the bag and a struggle followed.During the confrontation, she was pulled to the ground and sustained injuries to her hip and elbow.The suspect took the handbag and ran away.The stolen bag, valued at $400, contained a Samsung cellphone valued at $1,200, the victim’s Trinidad and Tobago identification card, driver’s licence, several credit cards, a debit card and $250.Police said the suspect left the area in a black Nissan X-Trail.PC Cuffie recorded the report and visited the scene. CCTV footage was requested and an All Points Bulletin was issued for the suspect’s vehicle.
