AKURE — The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) chapter, has commenced an indefinite strike over unpaid salaries.
In a notice signed by the chapter Chairperson, Comrade Bolu Oshodi, the union said the decision followed resolutions reached at its congress meetings held on April 28 and June 18, 2026.
According to the notice, the industrial action took effect on Friday, July 10, 2026.
ASUU described the withdrawal of services as “total, comprehensive and indefinite,” stating that the action would continue until the university authorities and the Ondo State Government pay all outstanding salary arrears.
