A 25-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged with the murder of Chaguanas businessman Gregory Reece, who was fatally stabbed during an incident at a Woodford Gardens apartment late last month.The accused, Aaliyah Naipal, of the corner of Oak Avenue and Coconut Drive, Woodford Gardens, appeared before a High Court Master on Monday after the charge was laid following legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

She was remanded into prison custody for the capital offence which took place on June 28.According to investigators, shortly after Reece went to the apartment, he got into an argument with someone and was stabbed.Emergency Health Services (EHS) personnel responded to the scene but found Reece unresponsive.He was pronounced dead at the scene.Naipal was detained by police at the scene while investigators conducted enquiries.Reece was laid to rest last Sunday.The businessman had previously found himself before the courts in 2017 after being charged with uttering forged valuable securities and obtaining money by false pretences.Those charges arose from allegations that fraudulent cheques amounting to more than $1.4 million, drawn on an account belonging to the Arima Borough Corporation, had been deposited into a business account associated with him.
