With temperatures soaring, one special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) educator told The i Paper how the heat makes her job “nearly impossible”.
Laura Beckham, 35, works at a SEND school in County Durham. She said once temperatures reach “anything above 30°C, it becomes dangerous for the children, and nearly impossible for us to do our job”.
