France jails murderer who scattered wife’s remains in Paris park
In 2024, 107 women were killed by a partner or former partner in France, an 11-percent rise compared to the previous year, according to official figures

PARIS: A man who strangled his wife before cutting up her body and scattering it in a Paris park in 2023 was jailed for 27 years on Friday.
Park workers discovered a plastic bag containing parts of her body in Buttes-Chaumont park, a popular spot for picnicking families and joggers in the northeast of the French capital. Her head was found the following day.
