Since her ballerina kindergarten years, Sukihana—the rapper, reality television star, podcaster, and soon-to-be mom of four—has been a polymathic busybody. It takes weeks and three reschedulings to pin down time with the rising mogul, who is then in her second trimester with her unnamed baby girl “Peaches.” Balancing pregnancy, her children, and a packed work schedule paired with severe bouts of nausea has made adhering to a strict schedule complex for the artist, who is used to being on the go. When we finally talk over Zoom on a Friday afternoon, she’s in the midst of a work trip. “We’re really knocking out all the business, but I go at my own pace,” she says. “Some weeks I can work, but when I get tired it’s nothing I can do. The baby is powerful.”
Before Peaches, Suki, 33, had already displayed an extensive resume. She first formed her core social media following in the late 2010s, releasing viral songs like 2017’s “5 Foot Freestyle,” which exposed the world to her candid yet provocative music and quick wit. Since 2020, she’s been seen on our television screens, appearing in three seasons of Love and Hip-Hop: Miami and later on Zeus Network’s Baddies. She’s been a special guest on numerous podcasts talking about everything from the confidence in her sexuality to racism in America, in which she’s even befriended social media influencer and PanAfricanist Dr. Umar Johnson.
