The FDA favorably reviewed plans for a phase 3 trial of urcosimod, which is being investigated for the treatment of neuropathic corneal pain, according to a press release from Okyo Pharma. The feedback came during a meeting between Okyo Pharma and the FDA, paving the way for a pivotal trial in a disease that currently has no specifically approved treatments.
