July 10 (UPI) -- Animal rescuers in Scotland came to the assistance of a male fox cub seen wandering for at least two days with its head stuck inside a plastic bottle.
The Scottish SPCA said an animal rescue team was dispatched to a Glasgow neighborhood on June 27 after a neighbor reported the fox's predicament.
The fox fled into its den when rescuers tried to approach it, so they returned for a second attempt the following day.
"After an extended search and several unsuccessful attempts to catch the cub, rescuers feared they had lost him when he disappeared. Moments later, he emerged from the undergrowth with the bottle still trapped around his head," the SPCA said.
