Suspended deputy head of Crime Intelligence, Major General Feroz Khan, is accused of assaulting a female brigadier inside the SAPS offices.
The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry heard on Friday of a gender-based violence incident at the SAPS head offices, where suspended deputy head of Crime Intelligence, Major General Feroz Khan, poked a female brigadier with a pen, causing multiple injuries.
This was during the testimony of Captain Mark McLean, a detective attached to the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI), also known as the Hawks.
Khan allegedly used a pen to poke a Crime Intelligence officer, Brigadier Leonora Phetlhe, inside the SAPS offices in 2018.
According to an audio clip played at the Madlanga Commission, Khan is heard talking to the brigadier, but things turn ugly when the brigadier says, “Khan.”
