Aktor and Motor Oil have signed a blueprint for the acquisition by the former of 50% of the shares of the company Dioriga Gas, owned by Motor Oil, which is developing the construction project of the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) of liquefied natural gas in the maritime area of Agioi Theodoroi, near Corinth.
The infrastructure is expected to strengthen Greece’s energy system, creating a new natural gas entry point and a new energy gateway to Eastern European markets.
It is expected to add LNG storage capacity of 170,000-210,000 cubic meters, enhancing the flexibility and resilience of the Greek system.
