Florida Atlantic University has appointed Robert Loredo as executive director of its Center for Quantum Technologies to lead research, education, and industry initiatives in quantum computing.
Loredo will oversee FAU’s quantum strategy as the university expands its infrastructure, including the planned deployment of a D-Wave Advantage2 quantum computer on campus.
The appointment supports FAU’s efforts to develop quantum algorithms, software capabilities, workforce training programs, and partnerships across Florida’s growing quantum ecosystem.
