The Unsung Heroes Publication Board will launch volume four of its book series, The Unsung Heroes, aimed at honouring individuals who have transformed lives without seeking recognition or reward.
The launch will be held at Sastri College on Sunday from 10am.
Fawzia Peer, the board’s founder and project leader, said throughout her years of public service, including her tenure as eThekwini’s deputy mayor, she witnessed firsthand the power of community-driven leadership. She said this prompted her to start the project of recognising unsung heroes in communities.
“The continued success of this publication reflects our collective responsibility to acknowledge and preserve these stories. More than a commemorative book, this volume serves as a historical archive of community contribution and civic excellence. It ensures that the legacy of these individuals is recorded, celebrated, and passed on to future generations.
