The TV drama Friday Night Lights premiered rather quietly in 2006, with a 6.4 million viewership average for its first season spotlighting a small Texas town and its high school football team, per The New York Times.

However, a dedicated fan base developed across the show’s five seasons, which first aired on NBC and later moved to DirecTV and Netflix. DirecTV reported that Friday Night Lights was ranked No. 2 among women viewers, predominantly aged 18 to 49 years old. Now, Friday Night Lights cast members are reuniting with their audience and celebrating that cult fanbase.
