LONDON: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan arrived in Kuwait on Thursday for a meeting with Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Al-Nahyan was accompanied by a high-level delegation.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had earlier condemned the Iranian missile and drone attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain.
It affirmed the UAE’s full support for the two Gulf Cooperation Council member countries and all measures aimed at safeguarding their security and stability, the Emirates News Agency reported.
Iran launched attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan on Thursday after the collapse of its fragile ceasefire with the US. Talks between the two sides reached a deadlock over Tehran’s nuclear program and the flow of energy shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.
