Ukrainian air defense shot down 89% of drones and missiles during massive Russian attacks in June.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defense reported this on Telegram.

The ministry noted that over the course of the month, the Russian army used nearly 6,000 drones and missiles to strike Ukraine, of which air defense destroyed nearly 5,300.

Among the targets destroyed were 90% of Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas drones; 90% of cruise missiles of various types, including Kalibr, Iskander-K, and Kh-101; and 40% of ballistic missiles such as Iskander, Kinzhal, 48N6DM, and other enemy targets.

The ministry stressed that ballistic missiles remain the biggest challenge, as intercepting them requires a significant number of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
