Police detectives in Ondo State have arrested a 40-year-old driver, Adesola Ogunrotifa, over the alleged theft of his employer’s vehicle after dropping her off at a church in Akure.
According to a police source, the suspect drove his employer, Mrs. Remilekun, to Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke-Isegun, Akure, for a Sunday service but allegedly left with her Hyundai saloon car while she was in the church.
The source said the suspect was later tracked to Abuja following a report made by the vehicle owner.
“Acting on credible intelligence and deploying strategic investigative techniques, a team of detectives from B-Division, Akure, tracked the suspect to Abuja, where he was apprehended,” the source said.
