Two persons, S. Sheik Dawood (52) and J. Abdul Ajeez (58) of Vedalai were killed when a speeding van knocked down two two-wheelers parked on Ramanathapuram-Rameswaram highway on Thursday evening.Another two persons, T. Murugesan (33) of Vedalai and M. Ganesan (29) of Mandapam sustained injuries on their head. The injured have been admitted to the Ramanathapuram Government Medical College hospital.The police said that all the four victims had come to the spot near Kunjaravalasai on two motorbikes. After parking their vehicles on roadsides, they were talking to each other when the speeding vehicle hit them.While Sheik Dawood was killed on the spot, Ajeez was declared brought dead.
