In a shocking incident, a minor girl in Paramakudi taluk was impregnated by her 73-year-old grandfather.All Women Police Station Paramakudi have booked the maternal grandfather under various Sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences, Act, 2012.The police said that the girl was raised by her widowed mother who lived next door to her father’s house.The accused had touched the girl inappropriately a few months back. When the girl complained about the incident to her mother, the mother had scolded the accused.In this backdrop, the 15-year-old girl was alone at home, when the man had sexually abused her few months back. Later, he repeated the crime several times.Meanwhile, when the girl was taken to the Government hospital for illness, the doctors found her pregnant.The accused has been arrested.
