Coach Swys de Bruin named a largely unchanged Springbok Women's side to face the USA Eagles at Loftus Versfeld, with Eloise Webb stepping up to start at fullback.

Springbok Women’s head coach Swys de Bruin is confident that versatile utility back Eloise Webb can seamlessly fill the void left by the rested Byrhandré Dolf, after naming a settled starting line-up for Saturday’s second Test against the USA at Loftus Versfeld.

Webb, who produced an assured cameo off the replacements' bench during last weekend’s historic 34-21 victory at Ellis Park, steps into the fullback shirt in the only change to the starting XV. Dolf remains unavailable under mandatory player welfare protocols following a gruelling dual-code season that included intensive Springbok Women’s Sevens commitments.

"Eloise is one of those players who can play anywhere," De Bruin insisted. "She is a hybrid player. She plays comfortably in the spine, nine, ten, and 15, so moving her to fullback is an incredibly easy transition."

Apart from the solitary enforced change in the back field, De Bruin has opted for continuity, retaining the core of the side that thoroughly outplayed the eighth-ranked Americans for large periods of the opening encounter in Johannesburg.
