ALBAWABA - Jordan Armed Forces announced Tuesday that air defenses destroyed eight missiles targeting the country amid increased tension between the U.S. and Iran.A responsible military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army – stated that Jordanian air defense systems intercepted and shot down eight missiles launched from Iran towards Jordanian territory on Thursday.The source indicated that the interception resulted in some debris falling to the ground, but there were no casualties or material damage.He affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces are monitoring current regional developments and are operating at the highest levels of readiness to protect the Kingdom's airspace and defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will not allow any violation of Jordanian airspace by any party whatsoever.A video was shared on social media showing missiles and air defenses in the skies of Jordan.
