President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended the deadline for the Madlanga Commission's final report by more than two months, giving the inquiry until 16 November to complete its work.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended the duration of the Madlanga Commission, with its final report now due to be submitted on November 16, 2026 instead of the original deadline of August 31, 2026.
The Presidency confirmed the extension in a media statement on Thursday.
"President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended the final report deadline of the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry into Criminality, Political Interference, and Corruption in the Criminal Justice System.
"The Commission will submit its report on Monday, 16 November 2026, instead of 31 August 2026, as anticipated originally."
