Humanitarian efforts ease the return of Malawians fleeing violence in South Africa.

Thousands of Malawians who returned to their home country from South Africa after fleeing threats of violence are being welcomed with food, clean drinking water and clothing, thanks to an ongoing humanitarian effort by Gift of the Givers.

The humanitarian organisation said 36,240 Malawians have now safely returned home, with relief teams providing essential supplies to help ease their transition after what many have described as a traumatic experience.

"From day one, our teams have provided critical support, ensuring that returnees receive food, clean water, and clothing upon arrival.

"Thousands of lives have been touched through this ongoing humanitarian effort," said the organisation.
