Bitdefender Launches Sovereign Acceleration Program to Advance European Data Sovereignty Initiatives
Program Gives European Businesses a Clear Path to True EU Sovereignty and Regulatory Compliance Without Compromising Cybersecurity
Bitdefender, a European-based company and a global cybersecurity leader, today announced the launch of its Sovereign Acceleration Program. The program empowers European organizations to transition to a fully European cybersecurity and data hosting solution that ensures customer and configuration data, security events, telemetry, and information gathered for customer support are never accessible, transferred, or processed outside the European Union (EU). To accelerate adoption, the program includes a commercial contract buyout and additional incentives for qualified organizations looking to migrate from non-EU cybersecurity providers.
As geopolitical uncertainty and evolving compliance requirements increase scrutiny of cross-border data flows, European businesses are reassessing their cybersecurity supply chains. The vast majority of organizations now prioritize digital and AI sovereignty. According to an IDC QuickPoll conducted in February 2026, 44% of respondents rated digital and AI sovereignty as “very important,” and another 41% rated it as “extremely important.”1
