Good Food logoJuly 9, 2026Tandoori broccoli.William MeppemThis is a common restaurant dish in India, but it’s simple enough to make at home.Ingredients½ cup thick yoghurt1 tbsp vegetable oil½ tsp grated ginger2 garlic cloves, minced½ tsp turmeric powder½ tsp chilli powder½ tsp cumin powder½ tsp garam masalajuice of ½ lemon1 head broccoli, cut into large floretssalt, to seasonMethodStep 1Combine all the ingredients and season well with salt. Allow to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.Step 2Heat a barbecue or grill pan to high heat, brush with a little extra oil and grill the marinated broccoli for about 7 minutes, turning regularly until the broccoli is charred and cooked through.
