Taylor Swift Receives Primetime Emmy Nod, Kicking Off What Is Likely to Be a Busy Awards Year

Taylor Swift received a Primetime Emmy nomination on Wednesday (July 8) for Taylor Swift/The Eras Tour/The Final Show, kicking off what is likely to be a busy awards year for the newlywed.

Swift is widely expected to be headed for an Oscar nomination for best original song early next year for “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5. She’s also likely to scoop up multiple Grammy nominations for The Life of a Showgirl, its hit singles and the Toy Story 5 song. But before all that, she was Emmy-nominated as both performer and producer in the category of outstanding variety special (pre-recorded), one of five nominations the Disney+ special received.
