The 2026 Emmy nominations are finally here.With the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards just two months away, nominees for television's best are being announced on Wednesday, July 8.Ahead of the nominations ceremony, the "Today" show revealed honorees in two categories: outstanding variety series and outstanding reality competition program."The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" earned recognition in the variety series category, two months after the CBS late-night talk show officially signed off in May following its cancellation.Later on Wednesday, Liza Colón-Zayas ("The Bear") and Jeff Hiller ("Widow's Bay") will announce nods in additional categories on the Emmys website (11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT).Emmys 2026 host, dateThe 2026 Emmy Awards are set to take place on Sept. 14 (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) and will air live on NBC and Peacock.
