A non-governmental organisation, Women for Women International Nigeria has raised concerns over the growing vulnerability of women, particularly those living in conflict-affected communities.

The group warned that millions continue to endure violence, displacement and hardship with limited support.

The organisation raised the alarm on Wednesday, during the celebration of its 25th anniversary of operations in Nigeria, urging governments, development partners and other stakeholders to strengthen interventions aimed at helping women recover from the devastating effects of conflict.

Delivering the keynote address, the Country Director of Women for Women International Nigeria, Bukola Onyishi, said violence against women remained a global crisis, adding that the situation was even more severe for women caught in armed conflicts.
