The one-off special, with the working title Bill Roache: Life on the Street, is anticipated to air later this year or in early 2027, according to The Sun. Roache holds the Guinness World Record for the longest-serving TV star in a continuous role, a record he has extended every year since 2010. The programme is being made by Manchester-based production company MultiStory, which is owned by ITV.Roache has been awarded an MBE in 2001 and an OBE in 2022, alongside a British Soap Awards Lifetime Achievement Award.
