Carlo Ancelotti isn’t going anywhere. The Italian manager, who took over Brazil’s national team in May 2025 after his storied tenure at Real Madrid, has agreed to a contract extension that keeps him at the helm through the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

What happened

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced the extension on May 14, 2026, turning what was originally a deal through the 2026 tournament into a four-year commitment stretching to 2030.

Ancelotti himself put it simply.

“We will go together until the 2030 World Cup.”
