KFin Technologies Limited on Wednesday announced that its Finex transformation programme has raised same-day physical SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) registration rates from 15 per cent to 90 per cent, sharply compressing what has historically been a 21-to-30-day onboarding cycle for investors in India’s mutual fund industry. The Mumbai-headquartered company said the platform, built entirely in-house by a team of over 250 engineers and domain experts, replaces the conventional sequential processing model with a parallel digital pipeline.Key components include AI-powered OCR/ICR document capture, agentic exception processing that autonomously resolves routine payment gateway variances, real-time KYC and banking credential validation, and automated inter-departmental workflow routing.Beyond same-day activation, KFintech said fresh mandate setup within seven days improved from 65 per cent to 90 per cent, reaching 99 per cent on fully optimised tracks. The system has also achieved 100 per cent exception tracking, meaning every registration that encounters a network failure can now be monitored and corrected end-to-end.An AI-driven rejection analysis module enables asset management companies (AMCs) to recover failed SIP registrations proactively.Praveen Shankaran, Chief Operating Officer for Domestic Fund Services at KFintech, said the programme converts what was previously a multi-week administrative process into a same-day investor experience, which he described as a step toward a more responsive, investor-centric mutual fund ecosystem.KFintech is India’s largest investor solutions provider to mutual funds by number of AMCs serviced as of March 2026. The company shares trading at ₹869.65 on Wednesday, up 0.35 per cent intraday, giving it a total market capitalisation of approximately ₹15,022 crore. The stock is down roughly 32 per cent over the past year against a 1.3 per cent decline in the Nifty 500 over the same period.Published on July 8, 2026
