In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director-General of the Omarana Campaign Organization, Mark Wosi, the campaign said it respected the rule of law and had confidence in the judiciary but questioned the government's priorities, arguing that critical issues affecting residents had been neglected.

The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, Omar Suleiman, popularly known as Omarana, has reacted to the criminal charges filed against him by the Adamawa State Government over the alleged indiscriminate placement of campaign posters, describing the action as a political distraction from the state's pressing challenges.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director-General of the Omarana Campaign Organization, Mark Wosi, the campaign said it respected the rule of law and had confidence in the judiciary but questioned the government's priorities, arguing that critical issues affecting residents had been neglected.

The campaign accused the state government of focusing on prosecuting a governorship candidate while longstanding environmental problems, including poor waste management, overflowing refuse dumps, blocked drainage systems and poor sanitation, continue to persist across the state.
