Greece’s inclusion as a founding member in the under-creation Defense, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB) is significant both for the country and for the global architecture of defense and security funding, government sources said.
They noted that the DSRB will be the first global multilateral bank focused exclusively on these sectors. Owned by states, the DSRB aims to close a gap in the global financial system, providing a specialized institutional mechanism to protect participating countries against contemporary hybrid and conventional threats.
The new bank will be established with a total capital of €100 million. Its purpose is to mobilize further public and, mainly, private capital to fund projects that strengthen defense and security, technological supremacy and innovation, critical infrastructure and the resilience of participating countries.
