Guinness World Records has confirmed that a Lagos concert organised by Dapper Live & Artists holds the record for the largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats performance.
The concert, which featured King Saheed Osupa, KS1 Malaika and other Afrobeats artists, was announced as a record on X on Tuesday, alongside a video clip of the performance.
In the post, Guinness World Records wrote, “Largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert – 85 musicians by Dapper Live & Artists @DapperMusicEnt_. This attempt took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria in December 2025 and was staged as a live orchestral performance based on an Afrobeats composition.
“Led by a conductor, the concert featured a lead singer, an accompanying choir, dancers, and 85 musicians performing in coordination. The event showcased how Afrobeats and orchestral music can seamlessly blend,” the post read.
