Ukraine's main tasks at the NATO Summit are securing additional air defense capabilities and strengthening its diplomatic positions, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian leader made the statement on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The NATO Summit in Ankara – and, as our partners say, Ukraine rightfully belongs here. Our main tasks are to secure more air defense and stronger diplomatic positions. All meetings planned for today have taken place, along with some additional important ones that were not on the schedule. Ukraine is always working toward effective and equal partnership and the protection of life. Thank you to everyone who helps us!” Zelensky wrote.

As reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky arrived in Ankara to participate in the NATO Summit. During the event, he held meetings with the President of Finland, the German Chancellor, the Prime Ministers of Norway, the Netherlands, and Canada, as well as NATO Secretary General.
