The Digital Economy and Society (DES) Ministry plans to integrate two of Thailand Post's digital platforms into the government's Tang Rat super app, aiming to expand online public services and strengthen domestic e-commerce.Nan Boonthida Somchai, deputy DES minister, discussed the plan with Thailand Post executives yesterday, focusing on two platforms: ThailandPostMart, an online marketplace for Thai products, and Prompt Post, a new digital public service platform.
The plan is subject to further discussions with the Digital Government Development Agency, allowing people to access a broader range of government and postal services through a single digital gateway.
The ministry also wants ThailandPostMart to evolve into a stronger Thai e-commerce marketplace focused on products made and sold by local entrepreneurs, rather than on competing directly with international online marketplaces.
Ms Nan said the platform would prioritise high-quality Thai products backed by Thailand Post's nationwide logistics network and trusted delivery services.
