The Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu, paid a total of N1.74 billion in a single day for the procurement of 10 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado V6 2024 model vehicles, according to payment records.
Data published by socio accountability platform, Govspend and reviewed by SaharaReporters show that on May 9, 2026, two separate payments of N868.697 million each were made under "Police formations and commands" to Mujaf Automobile Nigeria Ltd.
Both transactions carried the same description: "Being payment for the supply of 5 nos. Toyota Landcruiser Prado V6 2024 model to the Nigeria Police Force."
The two payments, made on the same date, brought the total amount disbursed for the procurement of 10 vehicles to N1.737 billion.
