Over the years, Transformers has had some real oddball crossovers. We’ve seen robots in disguise as the DeLorean from Back to the Future, the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, an F-14 from Top Gun, and even Jem and the Holograms. But now, it truly seems as if no famous vehicle is safe, as the Transformers have locked in for their most mysterious mash-up yet. Now on sale is a duo being called “Mysterious Prime and Automutt,” otherwise known as the Mystery Machine and Scooby-Doo as Transformers. It’s wild. It’s silly. But it also really works. Here are some images. © Hasbro © Hasbro © Hasbro © Hasbro © Hasbro © Hasbro © Hasbro © Hasbro “Mysterious Prime changes from a 6-inch-scale robot to Mystery Machine–inspired van mode in 19 steps and comes with 4 swappable heads to resemble a robot version of Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, or Velma. Automutt changes between a Scooby-Doo–inspired dog and a box of Scooby Snacks in 6 steps,” the official press release reads. It also comes with a camera and flashlight for all your Decepticon crime-solving needs, as well as Fred and Daphne’s ascots.
So, basically, you get Scooby and the Van, each of which transforms, and you can change the head on the robot to link up with your favorite member of the group. You almost think about buying multiples to get the whole gang, and Scooby, together as one.
