In a heartbreaking tribute, Richard said that he and his family had been left "disappointed" by the treatment she received following a "severe reaction" to prescribed medication.Lauren tragically died aged just 36 on May 29 this year. Police confirmed to The Mirror earlier today that a call had been made regarding concerns for Lauren's welfare. She was pronounced dead.Taking to Instagram, Richard paid tribute to his "incredible" and "beautiful" daughter, while sharing a picture of the late star. He said: "It is with a broken heart that I share the loss of my beautiful and talented daughter, @laurenbennett, the love of my life and my pride and joy."Lauren was an incredible person and artist: creative, talented, funny, and as humble as she was beautiful. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and made a lasting impact on countless lives through her music, her kindness, and the way she made people feel."He went on to add: "From an early age, it was clear that Lauren had a very special gift. She began performing professionally at just 12 years old, and watching her grow into the artist she became was one of the greatest joys of my life. As a family, we all rallied around her and did everything we could to support her. I hope she will be remembered for her remarkable achievements, her beautiful music, and the incredible person she was. We are deeply grateful for the love, support, and kindness shown by friends, fans, and everyone else who has reached during this incredibly difficult time."In a statement to the Mirror, Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called to an address in Meopham at about 2pm on Friday 29 May 2026 following concerns for the welfare of a person."Officers attended, along with SECAMB and a woman in her 30s was pronounced deceased. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been prepared for the coroner."On Monday, Lauren's former GRL bandmates took to social media to announce the tragic death of the singer. Emmalyn, Natasha and Paula said: "It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren. Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us. Lauren first made a name for herself in music with The Paradiso Girls in 2007. But after the group disbanded, Lauren found herself in GRL with Natasha Slayton, Emmalyn Estrada, Paula van Oppen and the late Simone Battle.The group achieved global success with hits such as Vacation, and Wild Wild Love (feat. Pitbull). But their big break came with their hit Ugly Heart, cementing them as one of the biggest girl bands of the time, securing four platinum certifications.After GRL's disbandment, Lauren kept herself in the public eye while maintaining a relatively private life.
