July 6 (UPI) -- Singer Lauren Bennett died, her band G.R.L. announced on Instagram Monday. Bennett was 37.
"We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us," GRL members Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton and Paula van Oppen wrote. "Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved."
G.R.L. released their first single, "Vacation," in 2013. It also appeared on The Smurfs 2 soundtrack. Their 2014 self-titled EP included "Ugly Heart" and four other tracks.
In 2014, G.R.L. singer Simone Battle died by suicide. The band took a hiatus but has reformed in different combinations of performers.
