The Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSE) has selected an NTT Data facility in Mumbai to house its trading platform.MSE will lease 6.4MW of capacity at NTT GDC's Chandivali data center campus as part of a 'relaunch' initiative.MSE will use the capacity for a high-density IT deployment so as to modernize its technology backbone for multi-asset trading across capital markets, derivatives, and debt.“Modern capital markets depend on infrastructure that can deliver both speed and resilience at scale,” said Latika S. Kundu, MD & CEO for MSE. “This partnership enables us to accelerate our technology roadmap, enhance market efficiency, and provide a robust platform for brokers, institutional participants, and investors.”NTT GDC's Chandivali campus is, according to the company, India's largest operational data center park. The site has an ecosystem comprising carriers, cloud providers, and financial services firms, and its proximity reduces latency, making it ideal for high-frequency trading and market data dissemination.The data center itself can support racks with densities up to 17.2kW.“Stock exchanges represent some of the most mission-critical infrastructure in any economy,” said Vimal Kaw, vice president and country managing director, India, for NTT Global Data Centers. “We are proud to support MSE as it builds a high-performance, future-ready trading platform that can scale with India’s rapidly growing financial markets.”Chandivali is a region of Mumbai in Andheri East. NTT owns several data centers in the Mumbai region and acquired an additional facility in January of this year at the Balaji IT Park.NTT has had a presence in India since it acquired India-based NetMagic in 2012. NTT now has more than 18 data centers in operation or development across India, totaling more than 265MW across the Noida area of Delhi (x2), Mumbai (x7), Chennai (x2), Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru (x3).
