APAC data center firm Digital Edge is reportedly looking to develop a 270MW data center near Mumbai, India.The firm bought an approximately 30-acre parcel at the proposed Green Integrated Data Centre Park in the city of Palava, according to a report by The Economic Times which cited a person familiar with the development.Digital Edge reportedly paid around Rs10 billion ($104m) for the parcel.Lodha, the developer behind the proposed data center park, confirmed that the transaction had occurred in a press release on Friday July 6.Palava is located around 45km (28 miles) northeast of Mumbai.Digital Edge is owned by New York-based private equity firm Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. It has more than a dozen data centers in operation or construction across the APAC region.First announced in January 2023, the company broke ground on its 300MW data center campus in Navi Mumbai in 2024. In February, Digital Edge signed an 83MW solar PPA with Hexa to power the first phase of its 350MW BOM campus in Navi Mumbai.
