A 35-year-old motorcyclist escaped with minor injuries after an uprooted tree fell on the motorcycle he was riding at Duraisamy Subway in T. Nagar on Tuesday evening.The Traffic police said that when Siviyon Pandian of Ramapuram riding through the Duraisamy Subway around 4.45 p.m., a tree on the roadside was uprooted by strong winds and fell on his motorcycle. The impact damaged the two-wheeler, but Siviyon escaped with injuries.The tree in the subway resulted in traffic getting disrupted causing a traffic jam. However, the traffic police rushed to the spot and diverted vehicles from the affected stretch, even as personnel from the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services cleared the fallen tree.
