ERLING Haaland is carrying Norway on his back all the way to the quarter-finals where they will face Harry Kane's England on Saturday.

Typical of England to use their round of 16 3-2 victory over co-hosts Mexico as a measure of the Three Lions' capability to "win the World Cup" in a way that may seem even undermining to their quarter-final opponets, the 2026 World Cup dark-horse, Norway.

Harry Kane (penalty) and Jude Bellingham (two first half goals) scored the three goals that set up the date with Erling Haaland's Norway in Miami on Saturday.

Haaland and Kane are on the hot race, alongside Argentina's Lionel Messi and France's Kylian Mbappe for the Golden Boot.

Haaland recorded his sixth and seventh goals of the tournament in his World Cup debut to help his side beat Brazil 2-1 in the round of 16.
