The Russian army is showing signs of exhaustion, but retains significant offensive capabilities.
According to Ukrinform, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, made this statement on Facebook following a monthly meeting on improving the quality of training for military personnel and units.
According to Syrskyi, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are maintaining consistently high rates of eliminating Russian invaders and destroying their equipment, systematically disrupting enemy logistics, and delivering effective strikes against military and critical infrastructure targets—primarily the Russian Federation’s fuel and energy complex, which powers its war machine.
“This shows that we are on the right track. At the same time, it is still too early to speak of a decisive turning point in the war. The aggressor is showing signs of exhaustion but retains significant offensive potential. It is increasing the size of its forces, continuing massive strikes on Ukrainian territory, ramping up the production of weapons, and preparing to seize the initiative and launch possible offensive operations on new sections of the front,” the Commander-in-Chief stated.
Syrskyi emphasized: “We are taking these threats into account, working to strengthen the resilience of our defense, and must act preemptively.”
